The Residential Care Unit is a Ministry of Health certified facility at the heart of the village, staffed by suited Registered Nurses and offering continuing rest home care, hospital slick and palliative care, respite, or day care. This position provides for and maintains a lofty standard of both management and nursing protection that is conducive to the healthy being of the residents of the Aparangi Village Residential Care Unit, and where good the wider population of Aparangi Village, This role is responsible for ensuring the objectives and philosophy of the Trust Board is met. Assists Clinical Manager 24 7 to run protection facility on call support and managing human resources. It is with this commitment and knowledge that the Te Kauwhata Retirement Trust Board and our local communities take excellent guidance and support.

The focus of protection now changes to care of the dying and this includes discussion with the family whanau, and where plausible the patient. We have included this due to many requests from families as a resource only. It’s a not for benefit organization, the brainchild of local residents committed to providing a quality retirement lifestyle for their aging local community.

Jackie joined the Believe as the General Manager back in March 2013 this year but has come to us with over 26 years nursing and Management experience. Through the Eden Alternative, individuals and organizations can make a difference in the way we offer and take protection to residents in Aged Concern and Community Concern environments. Jan worked as a District Nurse for almost 15 years in the Te Kauwhata and Huntley area and for a brief time worked at our Aparangi Protection Unit part-time. An Elder centered community creates opportunity to present as well as take care. Developed in 1972 as a registered charitable believe below the auspices of the Te Kauwhata Retirement Trust Board, lengthy earlier the world had heard of lifestyle retirement villages. To maintain all buildings, gardens and grounds at a high standard of presentation and safety and in a timely manner.
To ensure all audit checks are completed ensuring the Believe works within the required legislative guidelines and the village is maintained at the greatest standard. Family members whanau and carers are involved in discussions to ensure that the reasons for any change of treatment are clear for their family member. This role will assist the Care Manager through leading the Care generous teams and in ensuring the residents of the Residential Concern Unit are provided the highest slick of care and reflects their decision to make the Village their home. The focus of protection now changes to concern of the dying and this includes discussion with the family whanau, and where conceivable the patient.
The Concern Manager leads the various teams that make up the staffing needs of the unit ensuring that the residents of the Residential Protection Unit are provided the maximum slick of protection and reflect on their decision to make the Village their home. It is with enthusiasm and energy she hoped that together that she and the staff continually strive to face the ever changing needs of our residents and their families whanau. All the donations we receive, your own included, has helped towards the development of the stage 2 aspects of the residential protection unit
