What you should know about Elim Early Learning Centre Cambridge
Elim Early Learning Centre is a community based 'not for profit' early learning centre, designed to meet the needs of parents. We also provide an affordable early childhood education for children from families who prefer to have their children at home, but want the opportunity for them to learn with and alongside other children in a programme based on Christian principles. This project is something we had considered for a number of years and it has seen rapid development since opening in January 2009. It is also a natural expansion from the out of school programs OSCAR already being run by the Cambridge Elim Community Trust.
We know the importance of integrating a range of learning opportunities to suit individual learning styles. We provide a balance of teacher directed learning during group times, based upon Christian principles, as well as opportunities for child initiated learning and free play
Opening an Early Learning Centre is something we had considered for a number of years and it has seen rapid development since opening in January 2009. Although originally designed to meet the growing need for 'extended hours', we have found our niche in providing a values based learning centre in the Cambridge community. It is also a natural expansion from the out of school programs OSCAR already being run by the Cambridge Elim Community Trust.
We provide opportunities for your child to gain new experiences throughout the day, during structured group times as well as during free play times
Our Transformers programmed is available for children aged 4. 5 5 years, with the availability of children staying until they are ready for school up to 6 years of age. Hasty Childhood Education is unique compared to teaching primary aged children in that there is more than one adult teaching many children. We have a dedicated sleep room for children over two years old, who require an afternoon nap. Our Streams room is separated into diverse areas, so that we may aid children in their individual learning and development needs. At Elam we have established a culture where two year colds are encouraged to start toilet training. During this visit we encourage you to bring your child so they can get a feel for the place too. Children who graduate from Elam Premature Learning center know that they are special and unique in every way. One of the many things I enjoy about Elam Premature Learning center is the interest the staff and teachers take in the complete family, not honest my toddler.
We welcome all fresh parents to phone us to arrange a time to be shown around. A trained teacher runs this programmed and being that it is a insignificant sized group, the teacher recognizes individual needs and strengths and develops a programmed based around each individual. This helps them thrive their teaching skills and benefit new ideas for improving your child’s learning experience. When students are here, please feel release to question them about your child’s day. Throughout the day the children have plenty of opportunities to play outside in the outdoor playground, where they are encouraged to extend themselves physically and explore.
However, if you have any questions or concerns regarding your child’s learning and development, please ensure you question the routine teachers or head teacher. We will also invite you to talk with other teachers and staff earlier to enrolling your child. Our learning focus is supported by the children's interests that are being displayed at that time. Please supply your child's nappies, as then you can choose the shape, style and size that are maximum relevant for your child.
Every morning they take time to settle her and when I arrive in the afternoon she is everlasting glad and engaged with a teacher. Our provisionally registered teachers have customary training sessions, as healthy as individual learning plans, which are tailored to their unique needs. We yield a mixture of teacher directed learning during morning group times based upon Christian principles, as healthy as opportunities for child initiated learning. Our teachers are employed year round which means that even when your child is not attending, our costs remain the same
