Wainui Reserve is a Waikato District Council owned 140 hectare farm park giving access to Ngarunui Beach. Then it is across the Waipa River bridge for a drive on the scenic mountain road to Raglan. At the bottom of the hill the road passes over the Waitetuna River and then turns west passing Waitetuna Valley Road on the left. The walk from the Raglan town area to Kopua across the footbridge takes about 5 minutes each way. Walk and cycle map for Te Kopua area From WEC’s Raglan walking and cycling map. Keep turning left until you get onto Wainui Road then follow Wainui Road back to the Raglan town area.

The most popular surf beach for experienced surfers is Manu Bay , which is about a 10 minute drive from the town area, south west on Wainui Road. The Raglan Shuttle Service which is part of Raglan Scenic Tours can transport you to and from Raglan to Auckland or Hamilton Airports, Train or Bus Stations. There is a car park next to the Fire Station in Wainui Road, just south of the Bankart St roundabout. With an excellent left point break, Whale Bay has surf which works well on all tides.
Raglan’s wharf at the end of Wallis St is a working wharf, used by fishing, charter and tour boats as well as the Raglan Coast Guard. Wallis Street Walk The walk from the Raglan town area to the wharf takes about 15 minutes each way. The new kiln was installed in November 2010 and Tony had his first firing in December
